I must say. I'm really impressed by the PICC18 PRO version. Amazing flash saver. Amazing. Regarding the problem I posted in my previous post, I solved. Was just something wrong with the command line arguments.

Hi, 50Caliber, All the attached files are compressed and encrypted twice. The ' www.sonsivri.com' password can only decompressed the first compression level. Each compiler, for example, PIC18, are compressed and encrypted with a password different from ' www.sonsivri.com'. In short, one can not decompress these files. Please provide the password for the second compression. Best regards

Wasn't the password given in the attachment of http://www.sonsivri.com/forum/index.php?topic=935.msg69555#msg69555 ? 50Calibre repackaged the bunion archives for our convenience. So doesn't it follow that bunion's passwords would still be on the original archives?

I will add a note in my sticky post with the internal password.

Hi all, All this is very nice but is there any chance hi-tech or any other company-producer to read this and fix their next release so the keygens and cracks stop working? Regards

@praetorian
of course, it's a game of cat and mouse, and I bet they read this and other forums where files are posted.
But that never stopped people in the past and it should really be a message to all these companies who spend large amounts of time and money developing crazy ways of software protection to simply drop it and spend those resources in bettering their products instead.
Just my 2c.

I made an installer for Hi-tech PICC. In just 2 clicks you can install one of these compilers PICC STD 9.60 PICC PRO 9.60PL4 PICC-18 PRO 9.63PL1 dsPICC24 9.60PL2 PICC32 9.60 The package also contains my favorite editor for Hi-TECH. Credits for fixing go to bunion. I take credits for re-packing. Download one of these. No pass. http://rapidshare.com/files/180913878/Hi-TECH.7z.htmlhttp://www.filefactory.com/file/a012ah4/n/Hi-TECH_7zIt works fine for me but i need confirmation that it works on a clean machine.

hi bunion got the updates, thank you very much. I have a suggestion: append a "version number" on your patcher so we all know if we've got the latest one, thanks about "std": well, i like to use the "pro" version, but some very big projects i'm working on doesn't compile on "pro" version (lots of strange errors, etc.) and it's not your fault (they do the same on demo version). cheers!

Latest will always be the currently upped one marco...no slacking here bro bunion erm in saying that the patcher in Enterprise pack is older than current standalone patcher....still works tho for those enterprise versions and std too but it has slight error so it doesnt fully patch picc std cgpic.exe only halve of it ..so thats y the update

PATCHER PROBLEMShello again bunion, I think there are some problems with the PRO versions of the compiler. I've written a short program to let you check it out on your PC; I've already report my personal results on the comments at the top. // // Test program for HI-TECH compilers // // This program is used to test the generated code size for microchip 10/12/16 and 18 // MCU family HI-TECH C compilers; result should be compared only with same compiler version // // Selected MCU for 10-12-16 family is PIC12F629 // Selected MCU for 18 family is PIC18F4525 // // All compiler options are leaved as "defaults" after installation // // Compiler 45-day demo Cracked // ROM/RAM ROM/RAM // ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- // // HI-TECH PICC 9.60 PL3 141/17 141/17 OK (bunion crack) // HI-TECH C PRO for the PIC10-12-16 MCU Family 9.60 PL4 125/20 164/22 BAD (bunion crack) // // HI-TECH PICC-18 9.51 PL3 RC 266/14 266/14 OK (Kappa crack) // HI-TECH C PRO for the PIC18 MCU Family 9.63 PL1 254/15 272/17 BAD (bunion crack) // // Obviously, there should be no difference in code size between "demo" and "cracked" versions //
unsigned char add1(unsigned char, unsigned char); unsigned char add2(unsigned char, unsigned char); unsigned int power(unsigned char, unsigned char);
void main(void) { volatile unsigned char a, b, c; unsigned int i, j;
a = b + c; i = a * 2; j = i * i;
a = add1(b, c); c = add2(a, b);
j = power(a, b);
if (i <= j) a = b - c; else c = (unsigned char) j - a;
i <<= 7; }
unsigned char add1(unsigned char i, unsigned char j) {
return i + j; }
unsigned char add2(unsigned char i, unsigned char j) {
return i + j; }
unsigned int power(unsigned char i, unsigned char j) { unsigned int p = 1;
while (j--) p *= i;
return p; }
As you can see, it seems the same old problem that I've discovered about a month ago, when you begin to crack the compilers; for example, variables should be promoted to "ACCESS" type (kinda of "register") instead of "BANKED"; this should save a lot of rom code and greatly speed up program execution I hope all the community use this super-program as a check for future releases too I've uploaded "HI-TECH PICC-18 9.51 PL3 RC" to dropboks, just in case you wanna see how "kappa" cracked the beast (and also this is a nice update for all picc-18 std users ) Also, another suggestion for the patcher: if you copy it into destination directory, make it find the files automatically keep the good times roll! - mark
