- remove check of cloned programmers
- remove nag screen when using EDU/ST/NXP/... J-Link programmers

Please take care that I was not able to test the patches: now I own only original Segger programmers!

You don't need to patch the J-Link software. The V9 clones work fine with the latest V7.60g.
The only drawback is that you get a nagging screen after a timer expires telling you that
it's not a genuine device but apart from that it works fine.
The detection of V9 clones is based on two checks: first if your clone ID is in a list of
banned numbers and second if you have one of the depreciated features "GDBFull", "RDDI"
in your license.
The serial ID number and the licenses can be very easy programmed to what you want
using a STLinkV2 as explained here:

I have J-LINK v9.4 clone.

Firmware: J-Link V9 compiled May 7 2021 16:26:12
Hardware version: V9.40
License(s): RDI, GDB, FlashDL, FlashBP, JFlash

It work fine until J-Flash v7.58b. (no need modify dll)
Begin from v7.58c, it say my J-LINK is clone.

I fixed J-Link v7.70A. Just download and replace fixed DLL. It work for my J-Link v9.4 clone. And should work for V8 (not tested)

Hello,
Patch works ok with Jlink v11 7.70a, but don't update firmware above v7.52.
Additionally, there is still an annoying message about the need to update the firmware.

If You do that  Keil shows error: " ***JLink Error: Could not transfer JTAG data: Emulator is out of memory.
Could not read hardware status!"

The only way to fix this is to go back to firmware v7.52

The process of reviving a broken J-Link, requires the setting of
some jumpers inside the box. For v8 J-Links You will need also
AT91SAM-PROG V2.4, and of course a firmware file.
Without the proper jumper setting the reviving will not work.

For v8 J-Links the needed functionality already exists
and i see no need to convert the software.

Maybe someone can add some information for v9 and later J-Links.

V9 is easy to revive as the original bootloader is floating on the internet, search for "Kevincoooool ks_diy_link" on github and you will find the bootloader there. Next you simply update it using latest version of jlink software, it will be like the original, no more patching.

Yes I already said that in my last reply. You will have an original V9 as the bootloader is original. The only thing is to chose a correct format for the serial number

26xxxxxx EDU
5xxxxxxx BASIC
6xxxxxxx PLUS
80xxxxxx EDU Mini

For example a 9.4 Hardware with PLUS functionality must have a serial number like this:
694xxxxx

and when setting the feature set only : RDI, GDB, FlashDL, FlashBP, JFlash
