Hi, can anyone help me in this project. I need to interface an 8051 with MMC / SD using SPI protocol.  Anything could help. Maybe some datasheets on the SD card and the protocol required to transfer data. Or some code if someone manged to implement this.

Thanks

You can find sample code in this topic http://www.sonsivri.com/forum/index.php?topic=4226.0 , but it is for AVR. With some modifications it could wotk just fine for any 8051 derivative.

Ok thanks. Thats good. I also found another good site that might help others develop this besides using an AVR.  This explains the protocols used step by step.
