I think the best alternative to rapidshare is mediafire.com
It supports download manager and the download is resumeable as well. Also no waiting time.

I find rapidshare very convinient for uploading many large files, using their RapidUploader tool.
Anyone know a good alternative filehost with similar tool? Preferably one with not too many download limits like RS...

Yes 300MB is good, but it seems to have the same download limitations as rapidshare.com...
I can't assume everyone has a premium account... or can I?

I think there should be an alternative with RS...Sad, guys who are facing problem can DL the files from the other link, RS is very good but sometimes(most of the times)causes problems to free users.

Yes, Rapidshare is the best for me too.
Even I am a free user, sometimes I download over 100K.
But sometimes at %98 of downloading, connection closes too.

U can do it only if u have a dynamic IP...
If you use static ip, noway to change your ip number.
So, you have to wait for a while but u can try to delete cookies if you have to wait for long time.

Sorry if this is off topic. Does the rapidshare "happy hours" happen everyday? I only noticed this today and it was awesome, no more waiting in between downloads!

MiHd its good. Rapid is great and now with happy hours is much better. But the limit of 25GB for 5 days for members its bad.

What do you users think of the new Rapidshare deal?
Only 500 kb/s for free users, but no captcha.
Personally I think it sucks big time. I'm on a 8 Mb/s line and I usually got around 5-8 Mb/s when I downloaded. Now it takes forever  Angry Angry Angry
The last captcha they had, with 3D images of letters was easier to read than the cats & dogs.
I can live with the captcha, but by limiting the speed to a measly 500 kb/s, they've gone too far.
Or...?
Opinions?

I guess they forgot where all the files on their servers came from,it sure wasn't from their paid users so just don't upload there anymore and when their uploads drop to nothing maybe they will quit playing their games.I just tried to download a big file and it was downloading at a brisk 68k I may as well install that 28k modem back in my computer be just as fast.If enough people  boycott them they will feel it

I have realized that rapidshare has changed it's rules and free-users do not have to wait after each downloads. But they cannot still download two or more files simultaneously, at least it is a good news for users who have statics IP
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After short period , unfortunately , rapidshare decides to use wait-time policy agian Embarrassed

But very bad for who have dynamic ip. I can't download anything from yesterday. whenever i try to download someone already downloading..........

I think now it is better to wait...........

I use RS quite often (not in this forum as yet) but would also like to mirror uploads to some "free" sites to enable people who do not have a premium account to maybe benefit as well.
