Yet if I make the avatar a pair of covered, jiggling female breast, mods jump all over it saying that, "There have been complaints...", etc. Not one member said they didn't want to see that faggot shite in the forum.

I posted a gay avatar, nobody called me out on it. They do if I post female breasts. Hmm, that sounds like a viable topic to explore with the population that experienced it. It combines the topics of political correctness and the recent changes in norms in developed countries concerning sexuality. Two science fiction male characters bathing nude together doesn't bother anyone on this forum? Really? I find that hard to believe, but everyone kept quiet as mice. That seems like a subject to kick around a little, between intellectually curious folk.

My hypothesis is that the current climate of political correctness around LGBT issues has suppressed free speech right here on this forum. (I'm not concerned about gay behavior here, frankly I don't give a crap.)

Anyway, I worked at a place where the self-appointed man-hating ugly office bitch would prowl the cubes looking for guys browsing dodgy sites so she could report them. At another place my boss caught me at eroprofile.com. He came in and very seriously asked what site I was at. I let him see the URL. He walked away. I thought for sure he was going write me up. the forum is meant to discuss electronics related topics, software, ebooks, projects, etc.. raising such topics with hidden intentions between the lines and attacking members for their beliefs and religion is not acceptable, we don't need someone who is trying to spread vague messages among us, he's trying to say that the moderation team is just here to limit members free speech right on the forum.

A forum is not an arena for free speach. The site owner decide the forum agenda and rules. And leave it to the moderators enforce his guidelines. Then you become a forum member, you have by default accepted the rules lay down by the site owner. If you do not like the rules. You are free to buzz off any time you like. Another option is to behave like a brat and then get thrown out.
I have found a lot of your postings quite useful, as an example the HI-TECH Z80 compiler. But also some of your E-Boook sharings. What I do not understand is why quite often deliberate step out of line. And post things you must for sure know will get you in trouble. I know better than to call you stupid, because that would be quite wrong. But you have indeed narcissistic tendencies. That said, majority of Sonsivri patrons are professionals exchanging info, warez and a bit of friendly banter. Perhaps your amateurish/childish/offensive "social experiments"/provocations would be better appreciated at some more suitable forum? Use Sonsivri for specialised discussions and play your mind games at some other, more receptive place.

No,I wasn't making fun of the mods - not even a little bit. You're reading what you want to, versus what was there and what was intended. I am not Frisky.

I work super late here and occasionally check to see who's logged on...at 5am EST USA I see guys from 2005 and 2008 with ZERO contributions except for maybe one dose of cash 9 years ago that got them forever VIP status. Yeah, they've asked questions for themselves, but contribute nothing, maybe even mining material for their own sites. Last night I saw one with 0.037posts per day. Yup, infinite VIP status, always below the radar of being leeches.

Then there are those of us who are active, AND who throw a bit of money in to keep the lights on and we didn't get the infinite VIP status due to some system glitch. I'm OK with that,but I find these guys who put ten bucks in 9 years ago to be as huge of a problem for the site as the one or two year olds who don't contribute. That's just my opinion.

So, no, I was not making fun of the mods one bit. I was pointing out that it's a huge job figuring out who is useful and who is useless with all the members on here - you guys actually do a fairly impressive job of it,and you do run a tight ship.

And while our resident narcissist makes himself visible and does wave his red cloak in front of the bulls, he does contribute to the site on fairly regular basis and with fairly decent material.

That, IMO (IN MY OPINION), warrants keeping him around vs a guy who contributed ten bucks a decade ago and has been leeching ever since, invisible to the mods.

What I don't understand is why he just doesn't start a "Frisky's Corner" thread in Entertainment, and then have at it - within the rules of course.

Anyway,it's not my site, so run it as you wish and do.
