I have a DC 12v motor Dunkermotoren

How do I connect the encoder to use?
How do I connect A K E C?

My guess is that a-k will be the emitting LED and e-c will be the emitter and collector of the receiving phototransistor.

Try this: connect the emitter (e) to a wire and this wire with a pulldown resistor to ground (10k should do it)
connect a 5v source to the collector and measure with an oscilloscope at the e pin.

connect a 1k potentiometer (pre-set it to 1k) in series with a 5v voltage source to the LED.
get the motor running.
decrease the resistance of the potentiometer carefully until you see a squarewave at the e pin.

edit: before doing that, ensure that there is indeed a diode from a to k by measuring with the diode tester of your multimeter.
