I am reading SONSIVRI Forum Rules.
Paragraph A.- Nr 9

Quote    "    Try to help other users, especially new members.  "    Endquote

I know the rules , I helped translate them some time ago. A pleasure to do.
Has this somehow changed over time ? , Is there an "Service Pack" to the Rules that I missed ?.

I am pretty shure I joined Sonsivri long before the date wich appears in the register.
And beeing an Mechanical Engineer I can honestly say that pretty much everything I now know about electronics I have to thank to this community.
Someone could easy think that my postcount is very low for so many years pass , I guess it explains by itself, Electronics has been for me like an Hobby , an secret lover , always working on borrowed time, knowledge and budget. So much reading ¡¡¡¡
But I have had much fun. And have grown with it.

I insist in continue to try help newcommers , no matter how hard-headed they seem.

No crap in that . Maybe in doing so, I am risking ban or something worse....

It is the least I can do as a thank.

It has not been easy for me, I must have posted dull questions many times, but I always found someone here to throw me the right bone in and I have been able to do some pretty complex proyects including uPrcessors, etc.
I have been reading almost with no interruptions , Sonsivris Forum for some 9-10 years know.

I got the best Software from here,( callit W..z or whatever)  I got the knowledge and the Spirit from here.

And I have been always proud of you all.

Please do not change this.

"Let the children play.....", I am only 54

Greetings from Chile
Francisco

Good sentiment my friend.

Like you I have been what it seems to be almost forever here.
I saw a lot of topics going through the forum, and I try to add my insight (good or bad) to the topics I know.
Yeah I agree it is the spirit to help that made our community here.
I am proud to be here.

Cheers!

I added a few stuff to the rules over time. There are reasons to that. If the reason is important, I publised it under "Announcements" section with the word "rule" in a subject (update, add). Keeping translations syncronized is hard to maintain. That's why I wrote "You are responsible of English rules". I act tricky huh Smiley

P.s: mechanical engineer doing hobby you say. Add me to that list.

My training as well was in mechanical engineering. In the last number of years I have ventured into electronics for work as well as hobby. I may be relatively new to the site (just over a year) I have found this site to be extremely useful. It is my hope to leave it in a better state then I found it in and am thankful it is here.
