I recommend you to do a current source. its better than a high voltage generator.
the muscle and the nerves respond to the current generated. i built a current pulse generator,
a square wave lower than 100Hz @ 10mA. I test it in my arm, and believe me more
than that current its painful.
the lower sensation i have with 1ma, and more than 20ma its really painful.
also the frecuency affect the sensation, lower the frecuency more shock you feel.

its a voltage to constant current converter. so your input its a voltage a an your output its a current
I used a +-15V power supply, but for safety i recommend you test it with batteries first
