you can download from the hitech url the above compiler (it is full version--not demo)
mitsos, Which one should I download .... HI-TECH C for ARM with JTAG (v9.12) OR HI-TECH C for ARM wtih HI-TIDE 2 (v9.12) ? ... and I should download the DEMO version first (HI-TECH C for ARM with HI-TIDE 2 (18.1 MB)) ? Or can you upload the full version to rapidshare ? Thanks.

HI-TECH C for ARM with HI-TIDE 2 (18.1 MB)
This one is DEMO, am I right ? ... and HI-TECH said ' Please Note: The evaluation software supplied below cannot be activated into full versions of our software. For full versions, you will need to download from the Updates webpage.' ? ..... Are you test it already (fully functional) ? where did you find the HI-TECH C for ARM with JTAG (v9.12)?
Here ... http://www.htsoft.com/downloads/updates.phpRgds Mizk

Hi
I believe that is full version: I don't see the word demo in the setup procedure and in the installation folder included the sources folder. I remember that in the older versions of picc and picc18 compilers, I see the above or not if I had to do with full or demo version. Demo are the picc9.50pl2, picc18-9.50pl3 and dspicc9.60? (shared at last days)
regards mitsos

I think this does end up as being the real deal in spite of the warning notice on the web site. I think what happens is that the activation utility is left out of the installer short cut desktop creation so normally a user wouldn't be able to activate the compiler to register it. However the exe file that does the activation IS installed in the installation directory. I installed it and went through the registration and it appears the compiler is fully registered. I didn't test it because I don't have any AVR C programs available to compile. It looks like the "real" deal.
When you run the installer you may go through 3 phases depending on the state of the PC.
a) Installation of Java Run-time Environment b) Hi-Tide IDE Editor c) The ARM ANSI C Compiler.
When the installer has finished everything run the activate.exe file to bring up the activation window, then run the KeyGen file to get the registration info. Enter the registration info into the registration window and press the Next button so the utility will create a registration file on your system. That's it!

Hi all, I was able to download HI-TECH C for ARM with HI-TIDE 2 (18.1 MB) but I couldn't able to download HI-TECH C for ARM with JTAG (v9.12) from URL: http://www.htsoft.com/downloads/updates.php. It requires product registration with serial no. to access download. Can anyone generous enough to upload above full update file for JTAG debugging ? Thanks in advance with regards,

the original first post quite clearly implies that you download the TRIAL DEMO version of the JTAG (not the update), then use the the keygen from the url source given.
You end up with the full version inspite of the notice on the website indicating it will be a trial.
You cannot get the program by going through the update link on the web site. you need to get the trial version.

Hi gonna,
Thanks for update. I have downloaded Trial version earlier but I suppose JTAG debugger support is not in this trial demo. You may have to download Updates for it, which I couldn't able to do as I have lost my registration password, I got years ago for 7.87 version of Hitech PICC updates.
Anyway, thanks for comment once again.
Regards,
