Before entering new year here is my gift for inactive users: account deletion. There were 8.000 users registered and now its about 3.000. Could you believe there were 5.000 people didn't even made single post along months? I didn't touch members registered within 3 months. I kept them for 5th anniversary.

Our latest member id is 17.000 and we have 3.000 member now. Here is the math: 17.000 - 3.000 = 14.000 members deleted until now.
Every 82 of 100 registered members are deleted.
I think you are now understand how we are serious about activity.

Just read the rules and contribute, thats all.

I do invite people when I have the time to look through the huge list of people wanting to get in here. And those I do invite, I do expect things of them, and have passed by someone "lesser", but at the same time, who could have been a very active participant.

Please mute the following members that I invited that have been leechers, inactive for an extended period, or have not contributed anything to the forum to the standard I expected when I invited them:

dognaldo

rasputin83

Susana_bit

mabas

Enjoy your vacation, slackers

latest ID = 20104 (a muted member with a new account - yes we can see you)
Sad but I bet he is muted again very soon.

maths again total accounts 20104 plus members 3611 (1/3 muted) that's over17,000 ex-members of the sonsivri forum

We need to run a purge for spring/summer 2015

About Time Tongue

how about a new script, if all new members don't make a post in 31 days they get an automatic warning, if after 3 months and still no posts, they get a mute.
Then every 6 months all such accounts get deleted.

reason over 90% who never take notice of warnings, will never be active in forum, we don't need to waste any time on such useless people.

I'm not a big contributor but I try to contribute when ever I can and if I don't find the same stuff already posted (happens quite often).

I understand that leechers is not welcomed but just want to mention my situation regarding activity on this forum. Due to various RL things and tons of other forums to cover it can go quite some time before I'm able to visit the forum to catch up and read thru the most interesting posts or contribute if I have something new to share.

At times it's been < a month between my efforts to catch up so if something like above gets implemented I hope you take this into consideration.

My quote was aimed at members that have zero posts, in the first 31 days, and after 90 days still no post.

NOTE: if members get past the inactive member level, then we decide on past actions, about any warnings or other actions that need to be taken, example user joined 2005 made 9 posts in 3 days then forgets to post for the next Nine Years....
in this case Account muted till system real time clock rolls over to April 7 1905 (we will never see that date again)

I still say run the purge now!
