You did not draw from original scematic, if you did you would have the opamp that allows you to program at the right voltage for the device your using. you used the same scematic as blueroom clone, with that you can only program your devices at 5 volt. also you left off the two eeproms that allow you to program away from a pc, with only a pickit2 and power supply. I think being able to program at 3.3 volts is very inportant, it's now common to use 3.3 volt devices and 99% of the pic work I do is at 3.3 volt.
as for my nic better to use that, and not my real name, least my employer and crownhill would know my real name.

Ogul,
Do you have a photograph of your finished project. That would be really appealing for some one to pursue it.

Yes,I use the pdf as the same scematic as blueroom clone. Yes,as I only use 5V as programmer for PIC18F and PIC16F. Which PIC you use for 3.3V ?

It will surely not work with winpic800. PicBasic4: follow the exact instructions found in pickit2hybrid package, and also try using pickit2 v2.40 pc software from microchip.com. I'm using the pickit2hybrid and it works great. But, still i advice you to use the real pickit2, you can get it for 30 bucks.

Hi, a lot of pickit2 clones are on the web, but i found another one wich is realy close to the original version (just without the EPROMs). But it's not tested by me! good luck! http://wattmep.tvn.hu/PICkit2_W_klon/PICkit2_W_klon.html

There are no documentation available yet. Maybe after they release the diagram and firmware early next year.

with pickit2 and ICD2 beening cloned big time, I think they will not release diagram this time round.
But i think because of that cloning thing and selling those for cheap make microchip much more famous.

Dear Kcsoft, I have downloaded 'pickit2hybrid' package and made the PCB following the schematic. I have also followed the instructions but I get the 'USB Device Not Recognized' message everytime I plug the programmer. I have checked many times for any error in the hardware, but didn't find any. Well, I Measured the Vpp voltge at IC2 11, 13 and 14 pins, I get about 13.3 voltage, which means part of the programmer is working (both hardware and software). I would be really greatful if you could help me figuring out what I am doing wrong. Mainul

You hv to burn 18F with PK2 firmware first using some other programmer.
