Though Proteus manual does explain how to make models such as spice model, macromodel etc., it is not clear what the files with various extensions exactly are. Can anybody post a fairly detailed explanation of the following so that the differences between them are clearly known ?
In /models folder :
.LML
.SML
.MDF
.DLL (most people know it is VSM model)
In /library folder
.LIB
.IDX
If you try to view most of them in notepad, they appear to be having test as well as binary information.
Hope someone clarifies their internals.
.LML = LISA MODEL LIBRARY (PACKED FORMAT FOR MDF FILES YOU CAN PACK LOT OF MDF IN ONE FILE THAT CALLED LML)
.SML = SPICE MODEL LIBRARY (PACKED FORMAT FOR SPICE MODELS YOU CAN PACK LOT OF SPICE MODEL IN ONE FILE CALLED SML)
.MDF = MODEL DEFINATION FILE ( SCHEMATIC MODEL FILE WHICH CAN BE CREATED WITH THE HELP OF SUB CIRCUIT OR HIERARCHY)
