Rather than spend five minutes trying to find it in Atmel's UGLY website using Tonko's link, register to download at this link (cannot upgrade from S5 beta - clean install only):

You have to use a real email address to where they send the download link. They also belittle you with the quantity: <1M is the smallest choice for annual use.

With Atmel Studio 5 are available firmware upgrade for AVRISP MKII and Dragon.

For AVRISP MKII and Dragon users is mandatory to upgrade firmware.

AVR Software Framework
This software framework provides software drivers and libraries to build applications for Atmel megaAVR, AVR XMEGA and AVR UC3 devices. It has been designed to help develop and glue together the different components of a software design. It can easily integrate into an operating system (OS) or run as a stand-alone product. The AVR Software Framework (ASF) is included in AVR Studio 5.

 A separate package is available for IAR, AVR Studio 4 and AVR32 Studio users. AVR Studio 5 users do not need this package as the ASF is integrated in AVR Studio 5.
