1-Wire cevice code example

I'm looking for a PBP 1-wire code example to talk to the Dallas Semiconductor DS18B20 digital thermometer.

I'm looking at networking 10 of these devices and would appreciate some assistance on how to communicate with multiple 1-wire devices.

barney, No I haven't looked there yet.

quark, yep, that is the site I found the 1-wire example on.

Still haven't had a chance to breadboard everything yet.  Still waiting on the DS18B20 to show up in the mail.

If you can't get it working, give me a shout. I've done a lot of different projects now with a few different varieties of DS1820 units. I've also interfaced them through the serial port to display the temperature on your PC using Visual Basic 6, and another project that reads more than oone device so that you can compare temperatures between more than one location, like indoors and outdoors. It works quite effectively.

Sherm, Thanks for the offer.  I'll see how it goes.  The example on the Rentron website looks promising.  Now I just need to find the time to start bread boarding and programming.

No problems Dex. The Rentron site has some good, quality examples on it. It  doesn't take much effort to build some useful code snippets for your projects from the tutorials there. I've used many myself as starting points for my own projects.
