bldc motor help

Hey guys

I just got my hands on a Dlt tape brushless motor  n i am not  good with bldc drivers or its technology

so could any one help me  if u have any info or knowledge on how to drive this motor

all the electronics n the ics are in the schematic n the pin outs r also in the pic

so i wpuld appreciate if some one could  shed some info on this please

Hello,

Microchip has lot of informations on BLDC motor. Here is some of the application notes:

AN885 - Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor Fundamentals
AN899 - Brushless DC Motor Control Using PIC18FXX31 MCUs
AN970 - Using the PIC18F2431 for Sensorless BLDC Motor Control

Thank u for the help guys but iam looking for some info on the BLDC motor wiring  and how to use the same motor as it has a MP6403 ic ,all i need is some info on how to use the wiring and run the motor

here are the  wiring details of a 10 pin connector

Pin 1 = Motor drive enable 0=Off 1=On
Pin 2 = Gnd
Pin 3 = Direction control 0=CCW, 1=CW
Pin 4 = Output from hallsensor A 2.5V centre
Pin 5 = +12V In
Pin 6 = Gnd (internally connected to pin 2)
Pin 7 = Output from hallsensor B 2.5V centre
Pin 8 = Output from hallsendor C 2.5V centre
Pin 9 = +5V In

WARNING: My suggestion is based on the information you provided. Therefore, I will not take any responsible for any damage that could destroy your motor.
The information you provided lead me to believe that your motor has all build-in controller and driver. All it needs is the logic for the motor to run.

Construct a simple logic control by using 2 switch (preferably toggle sw) and 2 10K Ohms resistor. Also need +5V and +12V.

Connect pin 1 of each switch to GND
Connect pin 2 of each switch to 10K (2 resistor for two pin)
Connect other end of the 10K to +5V (2 resistor)
Connect the junction of the pin2 switch1 and 10K resistor to pin1 of the 10 pin connector (Motor enable)
Connect the junction of the pin2 switch2 and 10K resistor to pin3 of the 10 pin connector (DIRection control)

+12V ----------------------- to pin5 of the 10 pin connector (motor supply)

Pin4, 7 and 8 for position decoder (you will implement later) not use in this simple test.

Check your connection to correct pin (also check my pin assign to see if I have made a mistake)
Toggle the switch1 so that it connect to GND (for disable motor when power on).
Switch 2 don’t care (either direction)

If every thing you think it is correct. Power up the test circuit.
The motor should not run.

Now toggle the switch1 to get logic HI. The motor should spin (where is the speed control???---Hello---???). I think you could use this in put for speed control. Using PWM and vary the pulse width therefore you control the speed. For now, just use something to simulate the PWM for speed. If you let this pin HI all the time, MAX speed I think.

Toggle the switch2 to change direction.
