SMPS using Mosfet Gate Driver IC

Hi!
Is this possible to make SMPS using Mosfet Gate Driver ICs Like IR2109 or IR2104 and Micro controller.
And for that what i need, Do i need half bridge circuit or H-Bridge circuit? Please Reply

   If Anybody has the circuit of switch Mode power Supply (SMPS) for 24V and 5V together then please give it to me.

you can use Hbridge ic for smpa(full bridge,half bridge topology).For 24 and 5 v supply first specify your specification
if low power one,use Power integration TOP switch(you can have multiple o/p ie 24,12,5) and easy to design

For topologies such as half bridge and full bridge where you need isolated gate drive for the high side MOSFET, you need a hi/lo side driver. (You need a high side driver for buck topology). You can use pulse driver transformer as well but that is difficult to wind properly for high frequency. But for topologies, such as push-pull, flyback, boost, forward, you do not need a hi/lo side driver. You can drive this directly with discrete circuitry or even a single low side driver.

Half bridge circuit or H-Bridge circuit means the same, you will need a external PWM as the both IR2104 and 2109 are Just drivers, they will need external drive signal which can be generated from a microcontroller or a dedicated PWM, IR even has a half bridge driver with on chip 50% duty cycle osscilator, only disadvantage is
you cannot vary duty cycle, it is fixed at 50% and feedback cannot be provided.

I had been working on a few designs a few years back ...but i tell you it gets very frustrating at times... The best way is to get hold of some off-the-shelf modules....
