This Digital Multimeter is 15 years old.. Grin and it serves me quite well...but the LCD deteriorates due to old age but I hate throwing it away..

Since I can't find any replacement LCD..or even a polarizer..I tried using Pringles...Cheesy and here's the result...

from the pictures, looks like a typical water damage problem, (you have flood in your area?) the LCD should be ok, but the aluminum reflector paper under the LCD glass is damaged by water,  just replace it with any aluminum foil/paper will work.  you need to clean the meter, LCD glass, and  use "deoxit" to clean the  switch, socket for the probe.

isn't it what he do using the prigles box to rebuild the reflector?

agrea with you a nice clean would be nice

No...It was never been in flood water...Cheesy

the foil with the adhesive on it simply peeled off...Sad
