Youll need proteus vsm v6.6 sp1 or later to open the designs

i am making a com mouse serial interface to atari st series core and lcd etc

here  http://uk.geocities.com/vsmvdd/COM_MOUSE_TO_ATARI_PROJECT.zip

youll find a set of proteus designs
if you look in the system menu youll see the methods to set up the stratagies
to allow for single side

and how to solve problems

basicaly the good method to use is to set both power and signal layer routers to use bottom side for both vecter traces {look in the system menu / stratagies}
then autoroute as you like and looks good {youll get a feel for it}
then manually add some top side links

here is the project so far

ignore the code as i am just making the menus system

i plan the lcd driver to just contain the menus
and a using a reverse video function as a selected indicator

all the choices go on in the pic 18 using the mouse wheels
extra buttons on mice used for making instant positions on the screen
the pic 84 is just for dumb display of menus ....
most ps2 mice will auto switch to mouse systems mode
so can also be plugged in {or ill add a clock pin via one spare i/o}

look thru all the designs files
its always something to look at

at the moment im finishing the lcd unit pcbs and design adding colour and details

yeah, correct, but

i hate to use the autorouters ...  i prefer a more artistic touch breaking my head w / manually rerouting

simply customise the "strategies" to exclude the top layer..
