Hello.
Im beginner in CCS. Can anyone say me what can i do with the LAT Rigister?
The tris register i know, they are for the I/O direction.

Each port has three registers for its operation. These
registers are:
• TRIS register (data direction register)
• PORT register (reads the levels on the pins of the device)
• LAT register (output latch)
The Data Latch register (LATA) is useful for readmodify-
write operations on the value driven by the I/O
pins.

sorry for my bad english. so i understand it not complete.
is it right that the LAT register is only interesting if i would read and write with the same pin?
can you give me a small example from the expiry order?

Why don't you just use the set_tris_x() function along with fuses i.e #fuse fast_io()? a good book that explains this for beginers is Embedded C programming and the microchip. it cost few dollars but very good though
