Maybe its a strange question . But did anyone of you build the Microchip charger ? http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/AppNotes/01015a.pdfSo far i always used custom written routines for charging . (we used the st7 serie processors) Right now i want to switch towards microchip & basic (Mikrobasic) But has anyone of you experience with this charger ?

Hi, if you want to build a charger you need to know the usual routine for charging which are divided into three phases: the first is for heavy discharged battaries in which the battary is charged with a percentage of it's rated current to avoid heating. the second is to charge it with it's rated current. the third is to charge it with a constant voltage to avoid discharging it after it is fully charged.
