hi
I'm studying about Modbus.
I would like to see on a PC the data from a pic
with Modbus (programmed with CCS)

I  tried with the file suggested by Trump:  Roll Eyes
http://rapidshare.com/files/77291978/Modbus.rar.html

and some other:
http://www.modbus.pl/MTester.htm
http://www.modbustools.com/

Cry in all the cases I can't read the  data.  Cry

obviously the configuration's parameters are identical
on both devices, PC and Pic

thanks  for every help

Luca,
Try with this master software for Modbus RTU.
http://mihd.net/ohfnyp

No need to install, just copy into a folder and use. Enjoy!

You can use DAQFactory to test your devices, DAQFactory (Modbus Scanner) is free, and very powerful, this is link:

I think there are two Modbus-Dialects.

ASCII and RTU

Don't use ASCII

In the CSS-Forum Neutone has made a fine Modbus-Software

I use the Tools from modbustools.com. They are fine. You see everything with this software!
