Hi all, this is my first post, I hope it falls in good grace 
There is an opensource mobile-phone that has been around for a while. It has touch-screen and a modern OS. The PCBA can be bought on the internet together with debug-equipment. Schematics, mechanical 3D drawings for the plastics are all available for free. If this is already well known in this forum I'm sorry, I did a search before posting
If I had lots of time to spend on developing my own software I would get this hardware. Perhaps it can be used to hack networks...?

How many pcb layers are we talking about? What can you achieve with your soldering iron? If the problem is on PCB unless all the connections are on the top layer, that phone is just paper weight...
