Soundcard Oscilloscope Hardware !!!
Here is a Soundcard based oscilloscope hardware with overrange detection and complete PC protection.

MAX input magnitude 200V (with 10X)

Both Audible and Visible Overrange Detection

Protection, when signal is present but no power supply

Finished Hardware at Testing Stage

7555 Astable Multivibrator

50 Hz Mains Supply

50 Hz Mains Supply (After filtering with 140 Hz cutoff freq software low pass filter)

Protecting Soundcard from Excessive Input

This circuit is fully tested with 50V input at 200mV range without 10X attenuation. So if u built it correctly it should work. I will not take any responsibility if u cook your motherboard or soundcard with this !!!!!

53 times downloaded and only 8 thank you..!!!! Looks like people have to pay to press the Thank you button. They don't want to use "Thank you" but they keep writing thank you in the post !

Hi,

I wonder if some one has made measurements to define the specs of this design ? specially frequency  limits and response accuracy on the edges of the sound frequency range for example starting at 20Hz and going below for lower range and starting from 20KHz and going above for the upper range. also if any one has made tests for the linearity inside the sound frequency range. or we have to apply corrections if the response is not linear ?

Regards

Circuit that is required to work 100 kHz? Interesting

Does this work with every soundcard? How do i know if my sound device can process signals greater than 20khz? aren't soundcards/sound driver IC's capped to filter only 20hz-20khz through?

also, does anyone know of the reverse? a pc soundcard based function generator schematic? Can someone tell me. Thanks
