I found this incredible EMI/EMC debugging tool through YouTube. The link is down below. This is working with single 1.5 Cell. Anyone has idea about how this tool is working?

Hi
Probably high voltage magnetic pulse inducer - a pulse generator who produce high voltage into a magnetic core

All the best

Hi Bobi,

May be, but I don't think that this is more than 100V. All the magic comes from the high slew rate pulse. I guess that this is a Jim Williams pulse generator kind of circuit.
I'm building one for me to test. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

From the video you share it look like late Jim Williams topology used with some advancement to its original design here is video link from ELVblog with great description on Jim pulse generator  along with schematic and eagle PCB board

Further more point an adj version of 1073 can be used as in your share video then you can control feedback input for output adjustment also one or two transistor added in the output can reverse the signal from positive to nagitive.

Hi sadman,

Thanks for the reply. I already saw that video and link you have given. But two thing I can't understand and one you given a hint. The questions are below.,

1. How they are reversing the polarity? Is it possible to do with some extra transistor? Can you give me any drawing?

2. What can I do with the output? Is it open? Or properly terminated with 50 ohms? Or some antenna kind of construction? What is in the tip?

It will be more useful for me to design the PCB to try.

1.yes you can reverse the polarity of the signal i have seen this idea in 555 pulse generator circuit which will give both positive and negative pulse with the help of selector switch.

2.they use the coil and magnet to produce the EMF which is in the tip

i will search that app note and share here

here is it you can add a selector switch and also modify the value of out put part to suite with your design which will drive with 1.5 volt power
