I'm trying to identify this connector-- it looks to be 1.27mm pitch with a decent chance of being from a Japanese manufacturer.  (It mates to the memory expansion bus of an old Japan-only Sharp x68000 computer if that helps.)

JAE TX24/TX25 family looks similar, but I've yet to find anything with the distinctive little 'notch' in the corners or the same mounting method, but I recall seeing something like that in the past.  There are no other identifying marks in general.  Typically just the usual four digit year/week date code.

Apologies for the large image; I figured the resolution is necessary for a good look.

I believe you are referring to the mounting 'ears'?

If you look closely you can see two small indentations on the bottom corners of the contact area of the connector (instead of a 90 degree corner there's a 'step' notched out) -- I assume that those are there to provide connection polarity with the mating side.  (That is, you can't plug it in to the socket if it's rotated 180 degrees.)

After spending hours looking at everything on Mouser and Digikey, I'm thinking it might be a 3M Pak 50 connector?  The drawing looks close :

(You can see the corners along one edge seems to have the same polarity key feature and as best I can tell from measuring the photo and comparing it to the datasheet it looks about right...)
