Hi!

I'm building a new CoreXY 3d printer and I'm wondering what's the best choice for controller board? I don't want to spend a lot of money on this board.

I know that most users use RAMPS with Arduino......but I also know that RAMPS with an LCD doesn't work very well on CoreXY printers, which are more faster then cartesian printers. According to users, Arduino doesn't have anought power to proccess data and work with LCD at the same time for faster printers (let's say 130mm/s+)
So I'm thinking about MKS SBASE, since I don't have money to buy an original Smoothieboard. The only 'problem' is that I was planing to use multi-filament....one hot-end, 4 filaments going into this hotend controlled by 4 MK8 bowen extruders (switched by relays, like new upgrade for original prusa). This 'schema' ir already implemented on MarlinKimbra (now MarlinMago), but I'm sure it's not implemented on amoothieware (which runs on MKS SBASE). So I haveto abandon this idea of multi-filament if I go to SBASE.

IS there any other good board for CoreXY Printers?

You can always design your own Smoothieboard with pin headers where to plug in a LPC1769 LPCXpresso board (you can buy it for £18.08 from here: http://uk.farnell.com/nxp/om13085/evaluation-board-lpcxpresso/dp/2523091) and some motor drivers built around DRV8825 (you can buy them for cheap: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5pcs-Stepper-Driver-DRV8825-and-5pcs-heatsink-Prusa-Mendel-3D-Printer-/221534897645?hash=item33948245ed:g:AjEAAOSwofxUbJDy)

Instructions on how to do it: http://smoothieware.org/smoothie-on-a-breadboard

In my 3d printer comes the following controller: http://www.chitu3d.com/

It is an interesting option but more expensive.
