I think the time is set by site owner, so it's mostly set to his local time/or/local time for the server...
it can't be set to local time for the users.

so I see you from .ar so sever is 4 hours ahead.

Go into your profile under Modify Profile | Look and Layout Preferences you will find a time zone offset. That can at least get the hour correct. But it looks like the server time is off by about 20 minutes.

Not 4, 4:30 or 5 hours but 4 hours and 43 minutes, that's weird.
What time zone is that?

As Pickit2 established there's not such option.

Here is what I see when I go into my profile. It allows me to change the time zone. I had it set to -8 (North American Mountain Standard Time). I just tried it and it actually allows fractional hours, so setting it to -7.72 makes the clock sync very closely to my local time. So it seems to me that the option is available. Unless I am hallucinating. Having to use a fractional hour implies to me that the server clock is incorrect. See the screen shot below. . .

In my profile, in "Modify profile" section, only "Account related settings" is available; maybe because I'm new on the forum. Sad

Why do you need to know the time?

Seems like you would NOT want that fingerprint in your profile - if anything, the server clock should be dithered, IMO

What fingerprint?

I like to know when(what time) somebody write an answer or create a post.

This is like have a wristwatch with the wrong time. What would be its purpose? Sad

So would a lot of people trying to correlate your whereabouts. Don't forget to also put your real name and email address in your public profile to make it easier for the FBeye - they aren't having much luck with technology these days.

Since you don't log in very often, let me take this opportunity to congratulate you on your leeching skillset that you've been contributing to the community here. Ask about the f*&king time as the majority of your postings and do you really think you'll stay away from Pickit2's mute finger?

Why such animosity against me?
I just made a simple question.
It's a taboo theme?

Contribute in what way?
I don't have any programs to share, I'm not a hacker; so please enlighten me about how I can contribute with this forum.
