Hi All,

I've got some sample ENC28J60 packages from Microchip and I've been pondering building a simple network interface for some of my projects. I wanted to write the stack in PicBasic Pro but it all looks quite daunting. I've searched for example code from people who've already had luck with this chip, but haven't had much success finding anything useful. Has anyone here been able to get a newtwok project up and running using this chip and PBP? If not, is anyone interested in doing a joint project to try and get something working?

Cheers,

Sherm

Wow, thank you. That's a great link.

I years since I looked at AVR's. I originally cut my teeth on a "stamp" like product called the HotChip. It was based on an AVR and was a reasonable learning tool. If nothing else, it sparked my interest in programmable microcontrollers. I'm going to have a look at the BASCOM stuff as well now and see what it has to offer.

Thanks very much for your response.

I totally missed this reply!

N&V is downloading right now so I haven't seen what it has to offer just yet. The site you've linked looks like it has an amazing amount of good information available. I'd pretty much given up on a PBP solution to my needs and had started down the track of learning C so that I could take advantage of all the example code available. I still want to go down that track, but this may be what I need to get some test projects I've been wanting to experiment with under way in the mean time.

Have you had any experience yourself with the ENC28J60 at all?
