equal for pic 18f4550 ?

hi , i have circuit which uses 18f4550 pic , but i dont have pic 18f4550 , is there any equal pic for it  to use in me pcb ?

typically any 44 pins PIC could do it, the difference is whether or not you want USB function on it, whether you want Internal or external oscillator and the memory size.

Can you write the code to connect usb port to the picf877, and control all functions of the ICD2?
if not then you must use the 18F4550 code. if it is not using ports D & E then you may find the code will port to a 18F2550. but your on your own as why reinvent the wheel. on cost alone the 4550 is cheaper than the 2550.
