hello sonsi friends - has anyone captured packet stream from altera ethernet blaster2? I would like to remote debug without pc at fpga (I can use jtagd for this) and maybe I can create compatible hardware using stm or nxp. unfortunate that quartus does not allow open protocols for remote jtag.

maybe someone with this hardware can share packet dumps of program process with with .sof or .pof to see how data is encoded. ultimate goal is to use signaltap over ethernet.

While I don't have the dumps, when I was at a client's site they were trying to tunnel the connection through ssh.  It was not trivial.  The Ethernet blaster uses different ports for different functions.  There was another difficulty beyond that--perhaps some broadcast packet used during the discovery process?

If I end up buying one, I'll capture some TCP dumps for you if nobody else has.
