Their older units are GREAT!!
the newer models are for their price, cheaply made Chinese garbage.
Generally you get what you pay for whenever you buy tools,
however the OK-I are currently overpriced because they piggy backed on previously good reputation.

Tweezer soldering irons are OK for removal of a two pad parts such as resistor, inductors and capacitors.
IMHO, for soldering, they are a hindrance rather than helps,
the surface tension of the molten lead will make the component stuck on the iron rather than onto the pads.

I have used both OKI's soldering station and Goots soldering station, but as my experience OKI is better but it is little costlier then goot.
Goot provides the variable temperature knob and in oki temperature is maintained internally, which is better because some times we have faced problems in smd capacitors with goot soldering station.

I bought a MetCal about 5 years ago in a trade-in deal for a old Weller. I could not get on with it and have gone back to Pace. Just shows how different people find things!

I have had the bottom of the rung OKi PS800E for 2 years now, I really can't fault the unit, it's been reliable for soldering everything from SMD to heavy wires and large ground planes. Joints come up mirror shiny and perfect every time, heats in no time, there's a wide range of tips at reasonable prices and you don't need to touch anything, the station happily regulates the heat as you go. For overall value for money they're unbeatable in my opinion.
