There's a ton of stuff on the MicroChip website - did you even bother to look?  Or even Google?

Hello,

there is a nice Project for expecially dsPICs. It is possible to generate up to 8 UARTs using DMA technique with general IO pins. Since it is not a software UART, there are less latencies compared to softUart.
