Hi All
I'm interested in building systems enabled with windows CE with ARM Processor.
The market is rich with ARM controllers, but for some systems, flexibility and integration is important.
FPGAs chips provide us with both features.
Fortunately, ARM has designed a synthesizable soft ARM Cortex-M1 Core for FPGA vendors like Altera and Actel.
http://www.altera.com/products/ip/processors/32_16bit/m-arm-cortex-m1.htmlhttp://www.actel.com/products/mpu/CortexM1/What is nice about this approach, is that you feel freedom about, add/remove and custom the whole system inside the FPGA. It also allow us to parallel many cores in a single chip.
For me, I prefer Altera due to chips availability (at digikey) and reasonable cost per Logic Element.
The "ARM cortex M1" IP Core for Altera chips is available for evaluation by arrow distribution,
1- though registeration and filling this page (for better chance to get it, use a corporate email)
https://www.survey.arrow.com/se.ashx?s=21804374217532C6
2- or you can buy the expesive Cortex M1 development kit and get the IP core with it
Unfortunately, I could not get the core by the first method up to now
and I'll never pay for such kits(too expensive)
So, If any one succeeded to get this IP core, please share it.
I'll be greatly apprechiating.
