pic to pic through internet question

i want to make a bidirectional i/o controller over internet without use of PC, but only with PIC board and router, i have found schematic for ethernet, like tibbo em100 (serial to tcp-ip) , but i haven't undestand how use it when i want connect two device through internet with probability of dynamic IP.
is possible to use service for redirect dynamic IP like no_ip without PC ?
what is the way for redirect the ip of the internet connection to PIC board through router ?

Who has some idea ?

To use dynamic IP addresses is necessary to use a VPN routers. With the VPN routers are built on a private network that communication to take place. It seems to me that if you use the PC that you will come cheaper and easier to use.

I have not done this yet but want to.

Possibly he steps are:

First PIC:

1. Connect to a Serial to Etherne module.
2. Setup the module (and PIC) to connect to a mirror IP through some DynDNS or other service as you have not Static IP.

On the second PIC:

1. Connect to a Serial to Etherne module.
2. Open a port on the modem/router to direct the mirror IP call to a local IP (the modules IP).
3. Setup the 2nd module to this IP and
4. Hopefully the PIC will get seria data...

thanks for your interest,
i know good the normal programmation of the Pic, but for me ( is cause of my age), i don't know
good the new internet protocol and i don't have patient and time for learning new pic with
ethernet controller on board, so i look also for pic + external ready controller.
But i someone of you are specialist in this new Pic, i can pay for develop a piece of firmware (send me private post).
I think that the best way, instead of DynDNS, is a Pic that upload a little string with name file in
a ftp mode in the stardard hosting server ex  www.xxxx.com  , another remote pic device or more remote pic device go to downlad the string file (parsing the string and execute the contents).

The system is not so in realtime, but i think that in this way i can use a gprs modem with dynamic ip.

You can do what you described only with static IPs. If you have dynamic IPsyou need a service like DynDNS, which is easy. It just needs a PC running their little program that finds your current IP and sends it to a name resolver. You choose a fake www.xxx..yyy name and this is relayed to your current IP by DynDNS.

For GPRS I am afraid that the IPs are dymamic so the above apply too for the mobile network. You cannot connect from 1 GPRS to another if they are dynamic.... sorry!

I'm currently working on Internet Applications using TCP/IP Stack of Microchip and PIC 18F67J60 device (Ethernet intergrated). TCP/IP Stack provide many useful demo applications such as send data via GET or POST method, send data through port, update DDNS Service (DynDNS) ...

According to your application, if you have a static IP, it will be easy to send data between 2 PIC. Otherwise, you just have dynamic IP, you've to config both 2 routers that connected to 2 PIC (Port Forwarding) sothat packets can go from this PIC through 2 routers to the other.

I think PIC18F67J60 & TCP/IP Stack of Microchip is a good solution for you
