hi everyone,

i have a problem.

the photovoltaic panels collect the solar power and stores it in the batteries. at the night the outdoor ligthing is supplied by those batteries. when the batteries do not supply the lights because of discharge or breakdown, the lights will be supplied by grid.

could you tell me name of this method (voltage switcher etc.) or is there any device that does this switching?

thanks in advance.

How much is the current?
U can use simple transistor switcher with relay.
It will be on when battery supply is in the battery & will be off state when battery power is low or exhausted.
As relay is like one common pole & other two used as inputs, u can use common pole as output as other two as inputs from battery & mains.

U can use multiple pole relay if u want want to switch ac/dc supply.

thanks for your reply,

The batteries (accumulators) are connected to the input of 200W power inverter and the lighting devices are connected to output of the inverter. When the batteries are exhausted, an unit will switch to main AC grid and then the lights will be supplied.

do you know any unit like that?
