GSM modem with GPRS

Hi friends,
You have some project with GSM modem using comunication GPRS in:

some PIC board -> modem GSM -> another modem GSM -> computer internet?

Obs.: Is GPRS comunication not SMS messages comunication.

(I have used the modem of Siemens mc35i/mc39i, but only using sms messages...)

sms and gprs communication is not same.

1. check your gsm module specification, whether it support gprs class or not
2. check your mobile operator whether they provide  internet/wap  support  or not
3. study the AT command, for gprs connection

Open Hyper terminal ,send  atd *99***1# this is for connecting to network .This below is for setting access point name "GPRSINERNET" is name of ap. Or input parameters on other way if you use  phone .
+cgdcont=1,"IP","gprsinternet"

You will see "CONNECT"

And now you must send PPP  strings for autentification.
Or, if you have for example  telit gprs modem already implement all protocol in him ,you only send http request GET HTTP 1.1 (name of site)
and you get html code of web page.
