I will be using a ENC28J60 with PIC18F4620 and would like to know if anyone has tried to build their own Ethernet Video Camera with it's own webserver page accessable remotely from the internet.
The information I'm in short supply of is how to pipe in composite video into the 18F4620 and have it show up on it's own webserver page. I will be also using an 1024k SPI eeprom for additional memory.

I know you can just go out and buy one for about $200.00 US dollars, but I am interested in if it can be done and hopefully build my own.

I have plenty info on making a webserver using the parts I have just looking for any info on the video aspect of it.

As always any help is greatly appreciated.

I think PIC18F is not fast enough to broadcast live video. This kind of project I have thought over one. You should better use a serial camera module and take snapshoot images then store them in EEPROM and make Javascript on web pages to retrieve images in interval.

You can buy a camera module from http://www.electronics123.com/

Thanks for the suggestion. What you said makes pretty good sense to me.

I have not attempted to start this project yet as I am working on a different project right not.
Really would be much simplier for me to just buy an IP camera and not try to reinvent the wheel again.
