But air polution is still a big problem in China, it effects Olympics players health so much. If you saw the fire work in Olympics open'n, you can saw how bad problem is. Congrats to the China, too.  |

they ban smoking in the work place and bars, so they all smoke outside, see pic above. I say we also ban smoking outside too. as to the Olympics, maybe now it's over my internet speed in inprove. |

Hi. Let's not let the jokes get out of hand though. China did a ground breaking job in the Olympics and unlike most people I know, I'm not political about it - I just think it's plain beautiful. As for smokers, people who smoke are not bad people - just got a bad habit due to peer pressure etc. If lots of people in this world smoke, then I would blame it on the media ads and factories who make them - should be demolished  . By the way, how many good people out there suffer in smoky worlds? How many "" people live in mansions and can buy all the PIC software they want? |

I like the giant LED display "roll" on the ground floor. excellent display idea, and also the show with man wearing LED lights clothing. Don't know how they did it, (wireless mesh network? with 1000 nodes?)
Also heard the light spots on the background is from high tech MEM LED light stick that every audience got, they can show different light pattern such as text, graphics, and color sign when you wave it.
New york, HongKong, LosAngeles, ShangHai, Beijing .. all the same, really bad air pollution. especially in the summer. the global warm weather is causing the earth sick. there are story in the newspaper that dry land, desert area is glowing so fast in USA that is will become a big problem in 30-40 years
