Hopefully the CCS team has stopped using their user base as beta testers.  Although it seems that it is contagious because MPLAB 7.4 seemed to crash ALL the time on my computer.

Have anybody used ICD2 with this software? Any comments? Is it stable? Because for me the biggest disadvantage of CCS software was not supporting ICD2, if that changed it would be great.

You need to go to the CCS site and download the plugin to use ICD2 with the CCS tools---ust look at the "downloads" section..

problem with microchip icd2?
i have installed ccs v4.068. then i download the driver for icd2 from the ccs site.
but it dont run. in the settings i cant set the usb port only rs232.
do anyone konw what i can do?

Well the new version is an improvement on the whole ones and has some bug fixed too. I actually prefer ccs c compiler envirment

Anyway, latest is v4.073 now

I am using 4.069 to program PIC24. I have a serious problem getting the interrupt working. Is this a known bug, or am I making some stupid mistake.
I tried even a writing a very simple program with only timer 0 interrupt, but could not get it to work. It simply refused to get to the interrupt service routine.

I found some bugs for dsPIC about structure members offset in version 4.071 (demo). I downloaded demo version 4.072 and there is working structures. While you are waiting for new full version, you can download demo version and test the timers interrupt.

I'm using the CCS in a virtual XP machine on a macintosh. When I try to connect the ICD2 it keeps asking for the COM port while the ICD2 is USB only. How can I tell CCS it should connect to the USB? I have CCS pcwhd4.069 installed and the ICD2 connects fine within the MPLAB environment.

I did install the mctools, actually several times, checked the ini files of the different components, I also re-installed the CCS but neither helped.
