Hello,

You can use the Ext Int (rb0) and timer1 to catch the time between pulses, then you have the period for calculate the frequency or rpm.

I’m by my English, I’m Ecuadorian.

Try this link from Microchip

http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1999&ty=&dty=§ion=&NextRow=&ssUserText=tachometer

you find good app_notes on motor control in general, try AN894 in particlar
