Hi smainj, the phone on the picture use FBUS protocol.. The best pone is Nokia 6210, coz it have an internal modem best for AT command.. . please try a peek for this link for DLR3 homemade cable for 6210. www.atrox.at/datacable/dlr3/index.html

Yes, Abbas is right – the best choice is Sony Ericsson or old Ericsson with AT- command ,but be a careful - some cheap models don’t support AT

Hallo all,
I wonder if someone has (or can produce) a (small) list of telephone's who are useable for communication with AT commands ..? I mean the best one's or the one's where examples are for, or which are worthwile to get, for this (control) purpose.
Correction: maybe I should make that list myself, from the reactions in this topic (sorry).

Thanks yoda, I am also looking for this list.
surprising, not many site show information related to phones supporting AT command sets. I have personally tried projects using SIMMCOM moudules available here and these modules are costlier than the mobile itself.
I am sure, you would do a good job listing down the phones with AT Command set.

Hi,
I use modem Siemens TC35 for GSM communications between 50 PLCs. Its an easy modem to configure using AT commands and its cheap. I things that its better then using a phone. You just want the modem function right? You don't need the other functions of the mobile phone.
Best regards,
